As we approach the beginning of a new year, we would like to reflect upon the eventful 2023. There are a number of reasons to count it as a good one, and yet, we anticipate that the coming year will be even more remarkable.

Throughout the year, we have achieved significant milestones in terms of expanding our membership, enhancing our visibility, and establishing new partnerships. 2023 was filled with an array of dynamic and engaging activities, including various meetings with colleagues from Switzerland, Ukraine, and other countries.

USBA’s most notable accomplishments throughout 2023:

Lugano Business Forum. The event brought together 100 speakers and over 800 participants, becoming a powerful B2B & B2G network platform for discussing the development of Ukraine.

• Successful debut of Ukrainian startup delegation at Startup Nights in Switzerland, where USBA played a key role in organizing this historic moment.

• We have launched a new project – Swiss-Ukrainian Reconstruction Agency (SURA). SURA is an agency created by USBA and the Joint Chamber of Commerce Switzerland-Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South Caucasus (JCC). It facilitates Swiss companies’ engagement in Ukraine’s reconstruction process.

We have organized a series of online and offline events, including USBA IT Talks – an online event that is organized by USBA IT committee and Reddytec on a regular basis and aims to expand the opportunities for IT professionals to the Swiss market.

Over the past few months we have hosted over 10 breakfast and after-work events in Zurich, Lugano, and Geneva. The primary objective of these events remains consistent: to promote networking and establish connections among USBA members, business owners, and C-Level executives.

USBA was the only representative of Ukraine at several strategically important events:

– Gewerbliche Winterkonferenz 2023 – Winter conference 2023 for trade and industry) in Kloster

– Swissmem Industrietag in Lausanne – 16th Swissmem Industry Day “Energy – Plaything of Geopolitics”, dedicated to the topic of energy and discussing possible developments in this sector.

We participated in the following significant events:

– The 13th World Chambers Congress in Geneva (as a participant of the Ukrainian stand)
