On November 16, 2023, Ukrainian-Swiss Business Association in partnership with the Joint Chamber of Commerce Switzerland-Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South Caucasus (JCC), hosted an online conference to discuss Swiss reconstruction support for Ukraine.

This conference showcased the measures being developed by the Swiss Government to support reconstruction and to encourage Swiss private sector involvement in rebuilding Ukraine.

There were informative welcome statements from Ambassador Iryna Venediktova from the Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland and Ambassador Félix Baumann from the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine.

The newly founded Swiss-Ukrainian Reconstruction Agency (SURA) was introduced and presented by Dorit Sallis, the Managing Director of JCC, and Dmytro Sidenko, the President of USBA.

Liudmyla Yenina, the Director of the Department for Economic Diplomacy, shed light on the current challenges and needs for Ukraine’s recovery.

The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) provided a status update on Switzerland’s package of measures and funding support for Ukrainian reconstruction.

Doris Anthenien, the Head of Department and Lawyer, Country Desk Ukraine, Swissmem, along with Roger Sonderegger, the Manager Industry Sectors, Swissmem, examined what Swiss MEM companies can contribute to Ukrainian Reconstruction?”
