
In partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland, with the support of Swiss companies and concerned citizens, the Ukrainian-Swiss Business Association as of April 1 2022 raised 229,000 francs. Received amount was used to provide the most relevant and acute requests from the Ukrainian side. We have received hundreds of thank you messages that we are happy to address to all our donors and partners. Together we saved hundreds of lives!
Assistance to regional civil defense detachments
Amount: 151,638 CHF
These funds were used for acquisition:
– clothing and footwear for civil defense with a high degree of protection;
– food dry kits with a high content of nutrients for consumption in the field conditions;
– backpacks;
– technical equipment.
Assistance was promptly sent through the green humanitarian corridor from the Embassy to the regional civil defense detachments in northern and eastern parts of Ukraine, which needed it most.
Medical assistance
Amount: 53 400 CHF
These funds were used for acquisition:
– first aid kits;
– tourniquets to stop bleeding;
– bandages.
Assistance was promptly sent through the green humanitarian corridor from the Embassy to hospitals in Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions, where the wounded are being treated and rescued 24/7.
Humanitarian aid to refugees and civilians in Ukraine
Amount: 20 200 CHF
Number of sent trucks with humanitarian aid: 40
120 civilians were evacuated from Ukraine to the Swiss city of Toifen and all first aid was provided for protection, food, and basic necessities.
In Switzerland, together with partners, 5 collection points for humanitarian aid were organized in different cities – in St. Gallen, Bern, Geneva, Zurich and Zug.
